This is the camp code. It is read aloud at the first campfire session of the season, and is also posted where all may read it in the common room of each cabin. Live it. Obey it.
1. I am labeled. I will be known by that label until I have proven to myself and others that I can think and socialize outside of the label I have been given.
2. I will write in my Official Journal, or I will face the consequences at the end of the year.
3. I will not willfully disturb the peace or harass other campers without provocation.
4. I will not swim in the lake after dark. When I swim, I will be sure to bring a fellow camper with me at all times.
5. I will not break curfew, or be found on the wrong side of camp past hours.
6. I will wear my neckerchief at all times, either around my neck, on a wrist, around my head, or around an ankle. My neckerchief is not a shirt or skirt, and does not provide ample covering to be worn without other clothing.
7. I will respect the counselors and their judgment.
8. I will use my common sense and abide by the unspoken laws of a community. If it doesn't sound right, it probably isn't.
